COMPETITORS have taken to the grass at a local park for the finals of a historic lawn bowling tournament.
Members of Thornaby Bowls Club competed for the Mayor's Cup. About 70 people took part in the annual competition, which has been carried out for about 30 years.
Preliminary rounds were held on Saturday, with the finals for the men's and ladies' tournaments taking place on Sunday afternoon.
Mayor of Stockton Mick Stoker presented the winners with their trophies following the finals at the bowling club in the Little Boy Park, Thornaby.
