COOKERY, culture and crafts drew thousands of visitors to a museum over the weekend.
Crowds at the Teesdale Food and Craft Festival at Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle, County Durham, sampled the best of the region's farm-fresh food, pickles, preserves, cheeses and organic produce.
Market stalls lined the museum's terrace, while marquees at the back were filled with craft tables and information stands.
Chef Peter Bell demonstrated recipes using fresh ingredients and a Ready, Steady Cook competition entertained visitors on both days.
Darlington Saxophone Quartet played for Saturday's shoppers with Reeth Brass Band providing yesterday's music.
A miniature train gave children's rides and there were displays by English Heritage, Durham Wildlife Trust, Durham Business School and Discover Teesdale.
Many visitors also toured the museum itself.
Events officer Aileen Risbey: "We think we equalled last year's total of 6,000 visitors which is wonderful. It has been a lovely weekend with a lot of high quality crafts, produce and organic food on show."
