SEASIDE attractions on the Yorkshire coast are to come under the spotlight as part of an efficiency drive by Scarborough Borough Council.
The aim, says director of operations David Archer, is to get the best value for council taxpayers.
The project will include a study of such attractions and amenities as Peasholm Park and its famous naval battle, cliff lifts at Scarborough and Whitby, beach chalet services, beach management and the Kinderland children's park.
Views will be sought from residents, holidaymakers and businesses, on the attractions and services and whether an alterative to the council running them is an option.
