A PUB crawl with a difference is offering drinkers a health check alongside their pints.
The Community Health Check roadshow, run by Teesside Health Action Zone, visited the Oasis pub and the Sheraton pub, Stockton, yesterday.
Regulars were offered carbon monoxide tests to see how cigarette smoke was entering their blood stream, and blood pressure checks.
Alison Haddick, community health and fitness advisor, said by visiting people in a social atmosphere she hoped to break down barriers associated with health checks and medical premises.
She said yesterday: "We're particularly targeting men who wouldn't normally go into a health environment, such as their GP's surgery, or a 'well man' clinic."
