GYNAECOLOGIST Richard Neale has admitted that his CV contained many mistakes, but claimed that he had not intentionally supplied false information.
Mr Neale, 52, submitted his curriculum vitae as part of an application to the General Medical Council to become an assessor for its Performance Procedures committee.
The father-of-four yesterday told the GMC's professional conduct committee that the errors had occurred because he was working in Harley Street in Central London at the time and had to rely on memory for his qualifications, since his official CV was in Yorkshire.
Mr Neale, of The Firs, Langthorpe, Boroughbridge, York, denies neglect of his patients, abusing his skills and damaging the reputation at the medical profession.
He worked as a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology at the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton from 1985 until he left in 1995
The hearing was adjourned until Thursday.
