ATHLETES can still take part in this year's Darlington 10km Road Run, despite the passing of the early entry deadline.
Late entry fees of £8 for club members and £9 for unattached runners apply until the start of the event on August 13. The run is accompanied by a 2km fun run, which starts at 9.30am, an hour before the main race. Send entry forms to Leisure Services, The Dolphin Centre, Horsemarket, Darlington.
l This week is the eighth in a training schedule for road runners. Increase Monday's run to 30 minutes, keep Wednesday's and Friday's at 25 minutes, and increase the weekend run to 50 minutes
