A YOUTH club is gearing up for a music festival that will be put on entirely by young people.
Members of Bridgehill and Blackhill Teens are making preparations for their Music Live event in September - a celebration of youth achievement in the Consett area.
To help hone the musical skills of anyone wishing to take part, Blackhill Club is holding a meeting on Monday, August 14.
Anyone between the ages of eight and 25 wishing to take part in Music Live should go along to the meeting, which starts at 7.30pm.
Isabelle English, event organiser, said: "We want anyone who can sing, dance or play a musical instrument to come along on the 14th.
"As well as practising their music we would also like young people to chip in with the design of promotional material."
Following the meeting, the last two weeks of August will see the group join up with SNUG, the theatre group for people with special needs, for help with costume and set design.
