LUCKY residents who will get a front seat view of an open air concert have welcomed the event to their neighbourhood.
Residents of Sunstar Grove, Middlesbrough, will be able to hear the Proms in the Park concert from their own back gardens and are already decorating the area ready for the event on August 26.
The event is being held in Stewart Park for the first time, overlooked by Sunstar Grove residents, who are hanging out the flags and Union Jacks for the show.
One resident Rita Walker said: "I think it is great that such an impressive event is taking place in Middlesbrough.
"Stewart Park is the ideal setting for something like the proms. It is really lovely by the lake and I'm really looking forward to it.
