A CHARITY shop has slashed its prices to beat competition from High Street sales.
The move has led to soaring trade at the Oxfam shop, in Newport Road, Middlesbrough, which has been redesigned to help customers.
Shop manager Marion Cowper said: "Instead of individually pricing every item we are using price blocking so that every item on a particular rail will be the same price.
"Among 99p clothes are designer labels like Jacques Vert, so customers can pick up a real bargain."
To help with the upturn in trade Mrs Cowper is looking for four volunteers to help with a variety of duties in the shop. Anyone interested should call (01642) 221376, or pop in.
