THE Internet is becoming more and more accessible. Most of us have surfed the Net at sometime but, until now, only the real enthusiasts looked to get online and publish their hobbies, businesses, or passions on a web page.

Part of the problem was the cost of complexity. Dreamweaver et al are professional tools that cost hundreds of pounds.

But a new solution from NTM allows the home enthusiast and small business users quickly and easily to design and publish their own website within hours and at minimal cost.

WEB! Personal and WEB! Pro Editions have been developed for non-technical users with little or no programming knowledge whatsoever.

The software package costs less than a CD-ROM game yet provides great flexibility for the money. Within minutes of installing WEB! Pro I was getting to grips with my first website.

Users can choose from a wide range of special effects, including audio and video to create an exciting multi-media experience

WEB! Pro, in particular, also makes a good case for itself as a business tool.

Incorporated in the WEB! Pro Edition design tool, are order forms, an essential component for anyone who wants to use a site for business.

Forms can be processed immediately as they are sent straight to the mailbox once completed by a visitor to the site.

Both Personal Edition and Pro Edition make the whole process of website design painless and as easy as using a word processor. You simply drag and drop the features you require.

And yet they both have the power to expand as you become more confident.

WEB! offers a simple wizard to add another feature to the web site. Stat4WEB! statistics enable the WEB! user to track visitors to the site. This feature shows statistics such as exactly how many visitors the site has received and from where they have accessed the site.

Added to this is the WEB! Guestbook where visitors can leave comments and suggestions.

Even better, at £39.99 for the Pro Edition (even less for the Personal) the software brings the power of web design to every one of us.

l Children from just seven years old will soon be able to produce their own cartoons featuring the BBC's loveable cartoon scoundrels, Fix & Foxi.

Knowledge Adventure's Playzone label releases Fix and Foxi Movie Maker, a full home studio on your PC this week.

Fix & Foxi are a current favourite on Children's BBC, where they are broadcast every Tuesday and Thursday on BBC1, having been a favourite on the Continent for over 40 years.

Young budding cartoon animators will be able to use Fixi Fox/Movie Maker as a fully functioning cartoon creation package.

It is based very closely on the series and allows children to use real backdrops, voices, characters and any of the show's 50 original sets. The end result is that kids will be able to create their own virtual cartoon movie, including the ability to mix their own audio dubbing.

The package costs just £19.99 and is just the job for keeping the kids quiet over the summer holidays.
