A NORTH-EAST DJ raped a woman in a city centre back lane after flirting with her inside a nightclub earlier in the evening, a court heard.
The 21-year-old woman claimed disc jockey Andrew Thompson led her down a dark alley and raped her.
The woman told Newcastle Crown Court that Thompson then walked her back to friends in the main street near the club.
Thompson, 23, of Tyne-mouth Place, Tynemouth, the DJ in Newcastle's Planet Earth nightclub, has admitted having sex with the woman but denied rape, claiming she consented.
Julie Clemitson, defending, suggested to the woman that she only cried rape after the event because her friends had teased her about what she had been doing and she was scared her boyfriend might find out.
But the woman said she had not consented to sex.
