Lee McCavanagh broke the course record at his local golf club but he didn't break anyone's hearts for taking their title away from them - because Lee was already the record holder!
The 25-year-old member of Woodham Golf Club hit a score of 66 gross against a par of 73, four years after he struck the
previous record of 68.
He explained: "I putted everything and I hit all of the greens".
Lee, who has just become a scratch golfer, achieved the score with eight birdies and only one dropped shot.
He pulled-off the remarkable feat in the club's Monthly Medal, two weeks ago.
