STAFF at Aycliffe Young People's Centre are staging a sponsored walk for cancer research.
Because cancer affects families as well as individuals, they have declared it a friends and family event to involve as many people as possible.
Centre staff will set off on the Coast to Coast walk from Whitehaven on Friday, finishing in Sunderland on Sunday.
The walk will be done in relay legs so that everyone can take part, however fit.
Entry fee for the walk is £3 per adult per sponsor form. All money raised will go to the Imperial Cancer Research Fund.
There will be a map showing the route and distances of the sections to be completed.
Anyone interested in taking part can call (01325) 300101 or pick up a form at the Learning Shop, Thames Centre, Newton Aycliffe.
