MAGGIE Lambert denies that she is different from anyone else, but most would say she has been given a special gift.
The clairvoyant and medium from Darlington says she can use the power of spirit to draw pictures and images she would never have imagined.
Mrs Lambert, a member of Spennymoor Spiritualist Church, first discovered her previously hidden artistic ability three years ago.
She said: "I could not draw to save my life, but a wonderful thing happened to me.
"I can be just fiddling with a pencil and paper and an impression comes through to me.
"But it is not me that is drawing, it is someone else. The pictures can be of people alive or dead, or usually of flowers.
"A lot of people are sceptical, but the spirit has definitely given me something.
"I don't feel very different from anyone else though.
"I am a very happy and relaxed person and like to think that my spiritualism helps others."
Mrs Lambert, who does readings for people, says she wishes to meet other so-called psychic artists who may not realise their skill.
