OVER the centuries, fortune tellers have used everything from tea leaves to offal to read the future.
But now, one North-East restaurant is allowing customers to see what the future has in store over a pizza.
Joegios Italian restaurant, in Front Street, Consett, County Durham, is offering sessions with tarot reader Izzy, of Haydon Bridge, Northumberland, between the garlic bread and the deep pan.
But no one is more convinced of the accuracy of Izzy's predictions than the restaurant owner, Iranian Joe Zafarani.
Joe, 42, was left to rue ignoring her advice when his wife, Sandra, was going to give birth to their first child.
He said: "There was five weeks to go, but Izzy said our child would be born the following week.
"Sure enough, the following week at 4.30am, I had to dash Sandra to Dryburn Hospital, in Durham.
"We picked up a police escort on the way, but we only made it to Lanchester when Sandra gave birth to our little boy, Hanzeh, who is now two.
"I always listen to Izzy, and I could give you millions of examples of the things she has said coming true for our customers."
