A PROSTITUTE was jailed for three years yesterday for selling two schoolgirls for sex.
Carol Smith, 49, persuaded the girls to take part in sex acts with one of her regular clients.
The 61-year-man, named George, who has since died, gave heroin-addict Smith £40 for each session at her home and handed the girls £10 each.
Judge John Walford told her: "This is a shocking and saddening case in which you put your own needs first."
Smith, of Diamond Street, Middlesbrough, was convicted by a jury at Teesside Crown Court of six charges of indecent assault by inciting the girls to take part in sex activities. She was put on the sex offenders' register for life.
