A POLICE plane was scrambled on Saturday night after reports that three armed had been seen at a farm in Hartlepool.
Detective Sergeant Tony Green, of Hartlepool police, said: "It was believed these three males were in the vehicle relating to the quad bike theft. However, when the vehicle was stopped there was only one man in the van and the quad bike was later recovered.
