three points is three points. A performance which still didn't have promotion team written on it. The first half the Quakers seemed to have a full tank as Campbell scored a soup-er goal after a mix-up. The second half it seemed we ran out of fuel as chances were few and far between. Defensively we are sound, with Liddle and Aspin acting like two tankers blockading an oil refinery.

George announced about the new stadium going ahead but if he doesn't spend and get a good strong striker in soon then there will be a few seats going spare next season. It's still early in the season but fans knew there would be problems scoring goals eight games ago and nothing has really changed. Bring on Bradford.

This wasn't a good game but as the old cliche goes, it's the results that matter - and this one really did count after two successive defeats.

Although we didn't play particularly well, we deserved the result and could have won more convincingly. But with most of our flair players having departed in the summer, this is the sort of performance we may have to get used to. As long as we get results like this every week, that'll do for me.
