A PRIEST from Bishop Auckland, was one of a dozen churchmen chosen from 450 around the UK to attend the first Clergy Appreciation Week celebration lunch, organised by the national charity Care for the Family.
The Reverend Vince Fenton, from Woodhouse Close Church, in Bishop Auckland, was presented with a thank you certificate by a member of the judging panel, Peter Meadows, and the director of the Care for the Family charity, the Reverend Jonathan Booth.
The celebration lunch was held at the Hyde Park Ryan Hotel, in London's Park Lane, on September 11.
It was the climax of a week- long campaign in June
