FIRE chiefs are investigating a blaze at a house in the Harrowgate Hill area of Darlington yesterday.
The first floor of an unoccupied house in Peabody Street was badly damaged, and the neighbouring house, occupied by a woman in her 80s, was smoke damaged.
The woman suffered from the effects of smoke inhalation, but refused treatment. She was cared for by a neighbour.
