A DOSE of festive cheer is on its way to Redcar thanks to The Clarion.
Your weekly free newspaper has teamed up with Redcar Town Centre Management and Redcar Business Association to produce a series of festive activities in the run up to Christmas.
Cash raised will go towards the town centre's Christmas Lights to be switched on by Redcar MP Mo Mowlam on Friday, December 1.
The first fundraising event will be a spectacular fireworks display and family fun fair at Redcar Racecourse on Saturday, November 4.
The gates will open at 5pm and the fireworks fun starts at 6.30pm. Entrance will be £1, concessions for children and OAPs 50p.
The evening will also see the launch of the Redcar Town Christmas Raffle, which will be drawn on December 15.
Keep an eye on The Clarion for news of festive events happening in your area, as well as some major surprises lined up for a special launch on Sunday, December 3.
