A GROUP of North-East schoolchildren were visiting the Millennium Dome during the attempted robbery.
As the gang struck at 9.30am on Tuesday, 20 pupils from Hawthorne Primary School, Elswick, Newcastle, were having a lesson in the Mind Zone.
The children, aged nine to 11, four staff members and two parents, were kept well away from the incident.
Jan Jefferson, school head of science and technology, said they had been led into another building and shown a video of Blackadder. "It was only then we found out what exactly had gone on."
