A MAN was stabbed in the back as he withdrew money from a cashpoint.
The 54-year-old was in a stable condition in hospital following the attack in Crowhall Lane, Felling, Gateshead.
The man was making a withdrawal from the machine at 8.15pm on Saturday, when he was attacked from behind.
The attacker is described as white, 5ft 11in, in his 20s, wearing a black woolly hat, dark waist-length wind-cheater jacket and light jeans.
