POLICE are looking for an overweight man who attacked a woman with a broken bottle.
The man hit the woman over the head with a bottle, then lunged at her, slashing her across one arm and her back.
She was taken to hospital for treatment for her injuries.
The woman's assailant is described as 19 years old and 5ft 4in, and clean shaven, with very short, cropped brown hair and a pale complexion.
His unnamed victim remembered he was wearing a blue shirt.
Police also want to trace a youth who tried to intervene. He wore a white baseball cap and a white jumper.
The attacked happened outside the Dickens Inn, in Southfield Road, Middlesbrough, at about 12.30am on Monday.
