TEESDALE District Council is to relax charges in the Galgate car park, in Barnard Castle, in the run- up to Christmas.
From next Saturday to December 23, parking charges will be waived between 3pm and 6pm.
On Sundays, December 10 and 17, the free parking will start at 1pm, and on Sunday, December 24, parking will be free all day.
Drivers are reminded that all other car park rules will remain, and the car park will be patrolled.
