Tow Law New Market moved into third place when they beat the visiting Tow Law Station by three points. After the trebles were shared the New Market had singles points from Paul McManamin, John Parkin, Darren Yeoman and Alan Thompson with Joseph Hope and George Hope replying for the visitors. The New Market clinched their 7-4 win by taking two of the three doubles.

The gap at the top narrowed to just three points as the Burn closed on the leaders, the Victoria Club. These two are well clear for the third placed Hunwick Joiners Arms are 19 points behind the Burn.

Middlesbrough entertained Hartlepool, venue Albert Park Hotel.
