A MAN found lying in a street with serious head injuries, including a fractured jaw, told police he had no idea how he suffered his injuries.
The 39-year-old had been out drinking and was found by officers lying in Perth Avenue, Jarrow, South Tyneside, at 11pm on Friday. He was taken to South Tyneside General Hospital.
Police want to trace a group of youths, including a girl, who were seen in the area at the time. Any witnesses are urged to call South Shields CID on 0191-454 7555
