A PARK and community facility planned for Thornaby looks set to be given the go-ahead.
The Five Lamps Organisation has applied to Stockton Borough Council for planning permission to develop an area of public open space around the South Thornaby Community Centre, within the Holmes and Middlesfield Estate. The park would have a multi-purpose games court, play areas, BMX track, community gardens, footpaths, lighting, CCTV, and kickabout pitch.
The site is currently open grassland.
Councillors will make a decision on Friday
