A COMMUNITY garden in Consett is about to get a makeover by Acorn Trust volunteers following a grant from their funding body.
The garden, in the Benfieldside area, is regularly used by schoolchildren and volunteers have been invited to tidy up the site and plant bushes this morning.
Following CSV Whitbread Action Earth's grant, the volunteers will be out in force on Saturday, at Tantobie Community Centre, near Stanley.
