Hawes United maintained their four-point lead at the top after completing a double with a 3-2 home victory over Reeth.

Hawes took the lead after 20 minutes with a header from Stuart Dinsdale and ten minutes from the interval Wayne Winspear netted from close range.

On the hour, Nick Prince added a third to put the home side well on top and it was not until the 78th minute that Reeth reduced the deficit with a header from Terry Alderson. With seven minutes to go Alderson scored again from the penalty spot to make it 3-2, but Hawes held on.

Leyburn notched their second successive win when they visited Catterick Village and had a clear five-goal victory. Martin Allinson gave them the lead after 23 minutes and eight minutes later added a second.

The home side went further in arrears before the interval as Richard Meehan added a third with a header and two minutes after the restart Graham Stelling scored a fourth. Ten minutes from the end Meehan rounded off the scoring.

Richmond Mavericks extended their unbeaten run to eight games with a 2-2 draw at Middleham Town. Lee Fawcett opened the scoring for the home side after nine minutes, but four minutes later the visitors equalised with a goal from Andrew Mollitt. Midway through the second half Middleham regained the lead through Glyn Barnard but again Mavericks fought back and after 82 minutes Clive Layfield levelled the scores to keep his side in touch with the leaders.

Carperby recorded their seventh successive league victory with a 3-0 win at bottom club Redmire. Nick Oliver put them ahead after two minutes and midway through the first-half added a second. After 57 minutes Carperby increased their lead with a penalty by Davids.

Bowes won their fourth successive game when they entertained Hawes B and ended 3-0 victors. Robert Wilkinson headed them in front after 22 minutes and three minutes after the interval Scott Walker added a second. The home side dominated the game throughout and Wilkinson added a third after 53 minutes.

Bishopdale's disappointing run continued when they entertained Swale Travaux and were held to a goalless draw. Despite being in control for much of the game against a below-strength visiting side, Bishopdale were unable to break down the Travaux defence and the nearest they came to a goal was after 70 minutes when Andy Reaks hit a post.

Five minutes from time the visitors went close to capturing all three points but the home keeper made a good save from Chris Lambert's shot.

Spennithorne extended their unbeaten run to six matches when they entertained Catterick Garrison and won 2-0 with two late goals. The visitors defended well throughout and it was not until five minutes from the end that the home side at last managed a breakthrough with a goal by Richard Lambert. A minute from time Carl Orton added a second.

Askrigg climbed into ninth place as they continued their recent good form with a 1-0 home victory over Richmond Buck in a game switched to their ground. After a goalless first half Dominic Gregson scored the lone goal after 65 minutes to extend Askrigg's unbeaten run to eight league outings.
