CHRISTIAN activists have condemned a council decision to allow a strip club and lap-dancing lounge to be developed in a city centre.
The Christian Institute was reacting to the granting of an entertainment licence for the £1.3m development at the Old Manors Social Club, Carliol Square, Newcastle.
The organisation criticised the decision by Newcastle City Council's licencing committee
