Willington Ladies League

The resignation of Willington Brewer's Droop has caused major changes to the league tables. The Prospect Club now lead the darts section by five points from Hunwick Quarry Burn A, who are one point ahead of Willington Club.

The dominoes section sees Willington Club nine points clear of Willington Black Horse B, who are one point ahead of Hunwick Quarry Burn A and Willington Market.

CIU League

The Prospect Club pulled off a surprise away win at Stanhope in the first round of the knock-out Cup with a whitewash win at pool to counteract their hosts three points win at darts. They clinched their victory when they took the dominoes by the odd point.

Both Byers Green and Crowtrees completed home wins with five points from the darts and four from the pool, while losing the dominoes by three points against Willington and Oakenshaw respectively.

Cockton Hill took all three sections in their game at Newfield. The darts gave them a three point lead while they added odd point wins at both dominoes and pool.

Crook Cup

The Finals of both divisions knock-out Cup went to the decider with mixed fortunes going to the Crook Olde Horse Shoe, who had teams in both finals.

In the First Division Final Crook Olde Horse Shoe played Crook Travellers Rest and took snooker points through Brian Johnson, Stephen Liddle, Les Scott and Gerald Parkin with replies coming from Lee Taylor and David Haygarth. The snooker doubles point went to the Travellers when Doug Bowey and John Mason won.

At dominoes the Shoe had singles wins from Jimmy Luke, Les Scott and Gerald Parkin with Jimmy Singlewood, Lee Taylor and Doug Bowey replying for the Travellers, who went on to level the match when Jimmy Singlewood and Bill Fairhurst took the dominoes doubles.

The Traveller's Rest won the toss for the deciding game and chose dominoes but Jimmy Singlewood lost to Gerald Parkin to make the Olde Horse Shoe the trophy winners.

In the Second Division Final Crook Mill House played Crook Olde Horse Shoe B. The Mill took snooker points through John Winnings and John Howe with Stephen Heyes and John Winnings taking the doubles point. The Shoe went ahead with snooker singles wins from Stephen Gill, James Ivil, Carl Maddison and Dave Leighton.

The Mill House levelled the match when Alan Bibby, Norman Slack and John Howe took dominoes singles with Norman Slack and John Winnings adding the doubles against the singles wins from Garry Bainbridge, Dave Leighton and Stephen Gill.

The Mill House won the toss for the deciding game and chose snooker where John Howe beat Stephen Gill to take the trophy.

Magnet League

The last eight of the darts pairs KO will play down to one winner at the Navy Club on Friday March 23. Deadline 8pm. MC to be advised.
