A Mother's Day celebration is being held at the Timothy Hackworth Museum, Shildon, on Sunday.
The event will raise money for the Butterwick Hospice at Bishop Auckland and features a cross-stitch exhibition.
Every mother, aunt or grandmother who attends will receive a potted plant.
