The Baydale Beck pub, on the A67 between Darlington and Barnard Castle, has been put up for sale for £50,000.
Wessex Taverns, which owns the popular pub, is selling it as part of a rationalisation programme.
The sale is being handled by property agents Christie & Co, which has an office in Newcastle.
