PUBS are promoting a positive image across the Yorkshire Dales.
Landlords were among the audience at Hawes last week when Opposition leader William Hague urged communities to stick together in the fight to defeat foot-and-mouth.
The Richmondshire MP's message has inspired the North Riding Dales Licensed Victuallers' Association.
Peter Whitehead, vice-chairman and landlord of Leyburn's Bolton Arms, said: "Our message to the public is please come and visit us as usual. You are all part of our lives and, hopefully, we are an important part of yours."
