ELECTRONICS and plastic parts supplier Stadium has denied reports that it is axing staff from its Hartlepool operations and moving production overseas.
The company, which employs about 700 staff on Teesside, is not cutting production jobs at the site, or moving some of its production to Asia.
A spokeswoman for the company said: "Around ten jobs are going at Hartlepool, but they are a combination of early retirements and voluntary redundancy. Rumours that the job losses are due to some of our work being transferred to Asia are unfounded."
She said: "We are currently undergoing a review of operations, but that is usual when you have a change of chief executive."
Jim Johnson, 51, stepped down as chief executive after 15 years at the helm in March.
He has been replaced by Nigel Rogers, managing director of the group's electronics division.
Stadium has annual sales of £90m and 2,000 staff around the world.
