AN ice-cream firm is relocating because of the foot-and-mouth crisis.
Although the manufacturing plant is not affected, Brymoor's parlour, at High Jervaulx, North Yorkshire, has been closed for almost a month.
The crisis has already cost the company £50,000 in lost earnings.
Owner Bryan Moore said yesterday the time had came for drastic measures.
He said: "We talked about taking the risk of reopening at Jervaulx. Trading standards officers told us there was nothing to stop us - but then my wife suggested using the town hall at Masham.
"We spoke to the council. We're going to be paying a monthly rent and we'll be using the building seven days a week."
The company has already survived a row with Harrogate Borough Council and a fire which devastated the factory.
