POLICE are appealing for information after a man exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl.
The incident happened at about 8.30pm on Friday, March 16, as the youngster was walking along the alley way at the rear of Grosvenor Road, Hartlepool.
She was approached by the man who exposed himself and made lewd proposals to her. Detective Sergeant Tony Green, of Hartlepool CID said: "The youngster was left feeling very distressed and we would like to catch this person responsible as soon as possible.
"Incidents like this can over time escalate into a much more serious activity and this man quite clearly needs to be apprehended."
The man is described as being in his mid twenties to thirties, 6ft with an untidy appearance. He has short cropped mousy hair, an oval face with a square chin and bags under his eyes. He was wearing a dark tracksuit.
