An elderly couple were attacked in their home by three robbers wearing ski-masks over the Easter holiday.
The men forced entry to the couple's home at Stone Cross, near Fishburn, brandishing a baseball bat and a hammer. A quantity of cash was stolen and one of the victims received minor injuries during the robbery at 9.45pm on Sunday.
Police are appealing for an anonymous caller who informed police of the crime at 12.42pm yesterday to contact them again. Anyone with information is asked to call Newton Aycliffe police on (01325) 314401.
