TWO schoolgirl sisters accused a man of sex assaults after he took one of them with him to walk his dog, a court was told yesterday.

On her return, she told her family that Norman Dyer, 48, indecently assaulted her as they sat to rest on the Castle Eden Walkway, near Billingham, Teesside, said Peter Johnson, prosecuting.

The girl claimed she escaped his clutches by saying she thought she could hear someone approaching.

Then her sister alleged that Mr Dyer, a married man, had previously indecently assaulted her five times in his home, Teesside Crown Court heard.

The girls repeated their claims in video interviews with police, said Mr Johnson.

Mr Dyer admitted to officers that he tickled one sister in front of her mother, but he denied doing anything improper.

Mr Dyer, of Lockerbie Walk, Thornaby, pleads not guilty to three charges of indecent assault on girls aged 12 and 13, between May 12 and June 25 last year.

The case continues.
