A MASKED robber who held up an off-licence with a replica handgun is being hunted by police.
The thief, said to be in his twenties, went on the run after robbing the Victoria Wine store in Roman Way, West Denton, Newcastle, at just after 9pm on Wednesday.
The robber is described as 5ft 5in tall, with a slim build, unshaven and having a distinctive gap between his tobacco-stained teeth.
He was wearing a black ski mask over his face, a grey fleece jacket and had a local accent.
