THE name of David Wood, who performed his one-man magic and music show at York Theatre Royal in February, is also associated with the next production at the venue.
He has adapted Philippa Pearce's novel Tom's Midnight Garden for Unicorn Children's Theatre, which brings the show to York from May 9 to 12.
The story tells of young Tom who is banished to his aunt and uncle's house to avoid catching measles from his brother.
One night, the grandfather clock strikes 13 and he finds himself on a trip back in time from the 1950s to Queen Victoria's reign.
Tickets are priced £4.50 to £6.50, with concessions available. Performances are at 10am and 1pm on May 9 and 10; 1pm and 7pm on May 11; and 2.30pm and 7pm on May 12. Contact the box office on (01904) 623568.
