A HOME support service will take to the road next week in an attempt to fill vacancies.

Five roadshows will be set up around Sunderland to offer information about the service and advice on completing application forms.

Home Support helps elderly or disabled people who have difficulty managing on their own.

Team manager Philip Foster said: "Many of the staff who are currently with the service find a great deal of job satisfaction in the work they do and this is proved by the number of years they have been with us.

"We provide a wide range of training and developmental opportunities, which include training to NVQ level."

Home Support wants to recruit more staff and the roadshow will give people a chance to find out about what the job involves.

To find out when and where the roadshows will take place, or for an informal chat, contact the service on 0191-553 7029.
