FRESH from signing a new four-year contract, Sunderland manager Peter Reid opened the club's new store.
The shop, in Gateshead's MetroCentre, will be packed with Sunderland AFC merchandise.
The Black Cats' manager was joined at the official opening by star players Kevin Phillips, Michael Gray and Julio Arca.
Fans were able to meet their footballing heroes and club goodies were given away.
Commercial director Grahame McDonnell said: "We are delighted to be relocating our MetroCentre store. The new shop is bigger and in a more central location, with an exciting and modern design, plus large screen televisions which will show footage of the lads in action."
The club has a number of stores across the North-East, including those at The Bridges shopping centre, Sunderland, and Savacentre, in Washington. The new MetroCentre shop is on the first floor of the red quadrant, opposite Next and House of Fraser
