A STONE sculpture and garden are to grace the entrance to the village of Sunnybrow, near Bishop Auckland.
Sunnybrow Residents' Association is creating the feature with a £4,500 grant from the Single Regeneration Budget programme and £3,100 from the Awards for All National Lottery fund.
Artist Phil Townsend has been commissioned to carve the sculpture.
He will incorporate ideas of pupils from Sunnybrow Primary School into the design.
Older children will have a chance to do some carving on the sculpture before it is unveiled in July or August.
