ELDERLY people are to have the chance to view a housing scheme designed for them.
Sheltered Housing Awareness Week starts on May 21, to raise awareness of the privacy, security and independence gained from living in retirement and sheltered housing.
In Bishop Auckland, on May 22, residents from three housing schemes will hold a spring fair at Windsor Court, May Street, between 11pm and 3pm. All proceeds will go to charity.
On June 6, estate managers Kathleen Oldfield and Barbara Hopper will be giving out information to people at Crook Market, from 9am.
For details, telephone Ms Oldfield on (01388) 601072.
