THIS year's Sunderland Airshow will take place on July 28 and 29.
The event, the biggest free airshow in Europe, attracted more than a million people last year.
Susan Henderson, event co-ordinator, said: "The Sunderland International Airshow has grown from a small one-day event, in 1989, to the biggest free outdoor event in the region, and we hope that the event will continue to grow in our 13th year."
The full event line-up will be announced next month and is expected to feature favourites such as the Red Arrows, an RAF Tornado and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
It will also see a return for Army helicopter display team the Blue Eagles, whose first visit to the city was a highlight of last year's show
