POLICE have named a man who they want to question in connection with a murder.
They want to talk to Michael Dixon, 33, of Walker, Newcastle, and two other men, in connection with the death of Freddie Knights, who was shot in front of his wife outside his mother's home. The other two cannot be named for legal reasons.
Mr Knights, who was 38, was shot last September at Langdale Close, in Longbenton, Newcastle.
Mr Dixon is 5ft 6in, stocky, about 16st, with pale skin, blue eyes, close cropped or shaved hair. He may have left the North-East.
Investigators want him to attend his nearest police station with his solicitor for questioning.
Yesterday, detectives warned members of the public not to approach Mr Dixon.
Three men were charged with the murder of Mr Knights earlier this week, and have been remanded in custody.
They are Lee Watson, 30, of Cedarwood Road, Gateshead, Edward Stewart, 37, of no address, and Dale Miller, 37, of Cromwell Avenue, also Gateshead.
