WORKMEN were seriously inconvenienced when thieves walked away with their toilet.
But they had relief yesterday when the toilet was returned thanks to a sharp-eyed member of the public.
The thieves stole the portable toilet during the weekend after it was installed at Elm Crescent, Kimblesworth, near Chester-le-Street, County Durham, for council workers carrying out tasks on wasteland near a bus depot.
The workers noticed the £800 toilet was missing when they arrived at the site shortly before 8am on Monday.
But a member of public spotted the toilet at a garden in Cedar Avenue, Kimblesworth, after he heard it had gone missing on the local radio
