PUPILS and staff at a North-East school stepped out in the wrong trousers yesterday to promote the annual Wallace and Gromit's Wrong Trousers Day in aid of a local children's hospice.
The pupils of English Martyrs School in Stockton, from left, Thabiso Sibanda, aged five, Daniel McCarrick, nine, Luke Nugent, eight, Lauren Greenan, nine, Nicki Alexander, seven, and Kelly Walmsley, nine, were joined by Spike the Hedgehog, mascot of the Butterwick Children's Hospice, to kick off the fundraising event.
The youngsters were also joined by staff from the Savacentre superstore, in Stockton.
Wrong Trousers Day is expected to see thousands of people from across the region join in the fun on Wrong Trousers Day - July 6 - and donate £1 to the hospice.
Each person dresses normally down to the waist but wears something below that doesn't match - pyjamas, shorts, tutu or whatever takes their fancy.
